Aon DC Monthly – July 2018

Last week we hosted more than 70 trustees and DC pensions professionals at our Better DC Decisions Workshop, held in association with Behave London. We hope you were able to join us.

The topic of decision-making is certainly proving a popular one and we even needed to change venues for the workshop in order to meet demand! Don’t worry if you missed it, we’ll be sharing some of the content from the day in upcoming editions of DC Monthly.

In the meantime, if decision-making in pensions is an area that interests you why not take part in the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries’ sponsored research into this area? Details provided in the right hand column.

So onto this month’s content.

New research report: Global perspectives on responsible investing

Aon plc

Over the course of the past year, Aon has noted a dramatic upsurge in the number of institutional clients who are exploring or implementing responsible investing (“RI”) initiatives. To stay current with the evolving landscape, we launched a global responsible investment survey to capture current attitudes towards and developments in investors’ RI thinking, and we’re delighted to share those results with you.

Benefits Engagement “How to Guide”

Aon plc

It’s often said that if you build it, they will come. But you can’t just create a benefits package and automatically expect high levels of engagement or uptake. Workplace pensions are no different. If you want to engage more effectively, you need to explore different ways to get your employees interested. In this guide, we’ll share ten tips for getting – and keeping – your employees connected with your benefits programme so both your workforce and your company get the full value from your offering.

Pensions Age DC Roundtable

Aon plc

Aon’s Lynda Whitney joined a panel of experts recently to take part in Pensions Age’s latest DC Roundtable. Read the write up, published in July’s edition of Pensions Age to hear what the panel had to say on some of the most pressing issues in DC including engagement, investment, Collective DC and litigation risk.

We hope you find this month’s articles helpful. If any of the issues discussed spark any ideas or if you would like to discuss any of your own DC challenges, then please get in touch.

Kind regards

Sophia and Tony
