How to protect your pension scheme from cyber risks through asset managers
Over the past 12 months, cyber risk has leapt up the agenda of pension schemes and sponsors, and is one of the most rapidly evolving issues that schemes face. What should trustees and sponsors be doing about this risk?

Cashflow MOT test
Are you cashflow negative? The Pensions Regulator wants trustees to have a cashflow policy, but beware…cashflows are volatile. A cashflow MOT can test the robustness of your cashflow policy under different scenarios. Disinvesting from assets and using investment income may both be reasonable policies to meet cashflows. It is worth considering contractual income assets. View our Cashflow MOT to find out more.

Risk settlement UK market update
The market is on track to meet Aon's prediction of a record breaking year for risk settlement; several providers have written their largest ever deals in 2018 and the longevity swap market is back open for business. Pricing continues to be attractive, but insurers are applying greater selection before deciding to quote, with schemes that are well prepared likely to experience the best outcomes.

Three key questions trustees should be asking about their default strategy
At Aon’s recent Better DC Decisions Workshop, investment principal Chris Inman explored better DC default investments. In this article, Chris shares some of the highlights from that session.

Key actions to improve global DC outcomes
The growing reliance on DC savings comes with its own challenges, and while regulations, the pace of change and DC models may vary country to country, the underlying challenges are the same. Aon’s global DC team shares views on the key building blocks and design principles that will have a positive impact on individual outcomes.
